Local Homie and PrinceYa$in Deliver a New Collab Album, “Others: Season 1”

I have mixed feelings when it comes to collab mixtapes, as it can be difficult to make a project that’s cohesive while highlighting both artist’s strengths. However, PrinceYa$in and Local Homie have proved me wrong. The South Jersey natives team up for a stellar collab mixtape that delivers laid back vibes, along with some upbeat and bouncy records, all while the chemistry between them is on full display. This isn’t our first time hearing Local and Ya$in together, as Local last featured on Ya$in’s album, “Yaddy’s World 2” in the summer of 2021. It is clear since then that they have elevated their sounds to new heights.

The tape opens up with a mellow, yet spacey tone in “Feeling Low” and is followed up immediately by an upbeat record in “Back & Forth W/ Options”, which is one of the standouts from the mixtape along with;“Pigment Wishes” and “Wasted Breath”. On the back half of the album, “Winter Park” beautifully concludes everything with its powerful string section and heartfelt lyrics delivered by both Local and Ya$in.
